Step One
Make sure you have bluetooth permissions granted and service enabled.
iOS
Ensure Bluetooth is enabled:
Ensure new Bluetooth connections are allowed by ensuring the Bluetooth icon is blue:
Ensure Tidbyt has permission to use bluetooth:
Android
On Android, we require location services to be enabled in order to scan for Bluetooth devices.
Ensure Bluetooth is enabled:
Ensure location services are enabled (labeled Location below):
Ensure Tidbyt has permission to use location services:
Step Two
Try moving physically closer to your Tidbyt. Ensure your mobile phone is within 1-3 feet of your Tidbyt and try to set it up again.
Step Three
If you tried all of the steps above and still cannot setup your Tidbyt, please reach out to support@tidbyt.com with as much information as you can provide.
Things that will be useful to us:
- The email address you used to sign into Tidbyt (or that’s associated with your Gmail or Apple account)
- The brand and model of your cell phone
- The operating system version of your cell phone
- A screenshot of the mobile app when the setup fails
- A photo of your device when the setup fails.
