In this guide, we'll walk you through how to factory reset your Tidbyt.
Overview
There are two ways to reset your Tidbyt. If the device is currently setup and connected your the Tidbyt mobile app, you can conduct a software reset using the app. If for some reason you no longer have access to the mobile app or the device is unable to connect to the Tidbyt backend, you can conduct a hardware reset using the reset button.
Both a software reset and hardware reset remove all personal information from the device and resets the device back to its factory settings.
Hardware Reset
A hardware reset will reset the device to its factory settings, but it will not remove the device from the mobile app. Follow the instructions on the software reset if you also want to remove the device from your mobile app.
Software Reset
A software reset makes the assumption that your device is setup, connected, and you have access to the Tidbyt mobile app. If any of these conditions are not true, checkout the hardware reset above.
