Download diagnostic data

For advanced support, we might ask you to download diagnostic data from your Tidbyt. Please only try this if our support team has recommended it.

⚠️
Follow these instructions exactly, or you could permanently brick your Tidbyt!

1. Install the necessary drivers

If you’re using macOS or Linux, you can skip this step.

If your computer runs Windows, please download and unzip this driver:

https://www.silabs.com/documents/public/software/CP210x_Universal_Windows_Driver.zip

Unzip the package, right-click the silabser.inf file, and click Install.

2. Plug Tidbyt into your computer

If your computer has a USB-C port, you can use the USB-C cable that came with your Tidbyt. Otherwise, you may need to use a USB-A to USB-C cable.

3. Open the diagnostic tool

Use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge on your computer to open the diagnostic tool at:

https://console.tidbyt.com

Sorry, this doesn't work in other browsers like Firefox or Safari.

4. Start the diagnostic tool

Click Start to connect the diagnostic tool to your Tidbyt. Once it's connected, click Reset to reboot your Tidbyt, or press the blue reset button on the back of the Tidbyt.

5. Try using your Tidbyt

Do whatever you're trying to do with your Tidbyt. For example, if you're having trouble setting up your Tidbyt or connecting it to Wi-Fi, try doing that now.

6. Copy and send us the diagnostic data

Select all of the text in the black box, copy it, and email it to us.
